The Towne Plaza: Your Cozy Destination for Breakfast, Brunch, and More in Traverse City

Looked up the top best places for breakfast in Traverse City, and this is one of them. The top two were by the farmers market, and it was quite busy over there, so we decided to go to The Towne Plaza. It was busy, but there were a few spots at the bar, and we were in and out within 40 minutes. The food was amazing. Highly recommend it!

I have been waiting to try it out and finally made it. It was everything and more. Who ever is cooking back there is doing a fabulous job with that menu!

We had a great experience on Father's Day, 2025. We walked up with no reservation, and was told 20--25 minutes; after only 15, we were sat. We had great service, delicious food, and a wonderful ambiance. The food selections were varied but not overwhelming; other patrons even leaned over to give advice on what was excellent to order. My baked tomatoes were wonderful, and my date enjoyed her steak tenderloin eggs benedict. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a delectable meal.

Best breakfast spot we’ve found in the area so far. Awesome spot with a ton of street parking. The building is beautiful and the inside is decorated very nicely. Great atmosphere with friendly staff. We ordered a chipotle Bloody Mary and an Irish coffee, both were great. The Bloody Mary had a lot of cool toppings including but not limited to a jalepeno, a blue cheese stuffed olive, a regular olive, a lemon, a pickle, etc. For food we got the short rib Benedict, the tenderloin Benedict and a side of bacon. The food was awesome but did not enjoy the hollandaise/chunky gravy mix. The meat tasted grilled and so great, it left us very interested in trying the rest of the menu which was mostly meat-based. Would definitely return!

Make sure you make reservations. We waited an hour for 2 people. BUT so worth the wait! (Get on the list, wait outside and you have to be present to get seated as they come out and yell out your name) Patio was closed by now and it's a small restaurant so not much seating available. I believe Will was our server, he was great!!! Attentive, friendly, informative, flexible. Food: Grilled cheese, short rib and tenderloin benedicts (couldn't decide so he gave me both lol), french toast (like wow, best french toast ever! Was able to just get 1 vs 3 pieces), fruit salad (not your normal fruit salad!! You will not be disappointed!)- all absolutely delicious I noticed their list of home made jams so I tried the cherry chipotle jam and wow! Bought a jar of it! Def a must try if you're in town!! I WILL be returning!

Been wanting to try The Towne Plaza breakfast for a minute and the 45 minute wait was well worth it. Nothing pretentious here just good food, good service, and an upbeat armosphere. Kudos to our server Deric who was on his game and provided outstanding service. My wife an I ordered the omelet and the tasso eggs benedict. The omelet came loaded with meats and the Cajun touch on the tasso eggs benedict was the best.

Best restaurant in Michigan! Phenomenal food, drink and service! Amazing bar selection too. Note though, only one for breakfast, lunch and bench. No dinner. Be sure to add Add the fontina cheese sauce to the hand cut fries.

Indoor or outdoor seating. Our waitress was wonderful. She even gave us the pro tip that we could mix and match the Benedict’s. It was so good. Definitely recommend coming here. Everything is fresh and great flavor
